Vail Military Pass - Vail Resorts announced this morning that they will begin honoring service members at home and abroad (*Canada and Australia) with $99 Epic Passes for the 2018/2019 season. Tickets go on sale on March 6.
According to a recent press release, the prize is to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Epic Pass and the intermediate station - the famous 10 Mountain Division. After World War II, the 10th Mountain Division played an important role in the development of the American ski industry. One of the founders of Vail Mountain, Pete Seibert was a soldier in the 10th Mountain Division and while training at nearby Camp Hale, Vail was selected as a ski destination.

"In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Epic Pass on March 18, 2018, Vail Resorts is celebrating the extraordinary work of the company's founders from the 10th Force with the introduction of the new $99 Military Epic Pass, which on Sunday, Available March 6.

As we can see, the $99 season pass sounds patriotic but Vail Resorts doesn't stop there. Vail Resorts will also donate $1 for every Epic Pass purchased to the Wounded Warrior Project.
So far, seasonal sales have exceeded 750,000 predictions based on last year's sales figures and CEO Rob Katz and his wife have pledged to match their own $750,000 donation.
